My name is Nicolas. I am a Product Manager with a deep passion for great UX, technology, and design. Originally from Munich, briefly in London and currently living and working from Munich and Berlin.
From a young age, I was always a very visually-driven person — to understand something in school, I had to visualize it by coming up with diagrams or a chart of some sort; ( although, to be honest, I was mostly doodling in school 🙃*).*
Consequently, the only logical step after my Abitur was to study something design-related. Thus I finished a degree in communication design. Although I had thoroughly enjoyed my time as a design student, I quickly realized during my first position as an Experience Designer at one of Munich's biggest agencies that design alone would not fulfill me.
Having always been excited about technology, I ventured on to study Computer Science, completing my Master's degree at UCL, London, in 2019.
For the last two years, I have been a Product Manager at Actyx. Being the first PM at the company, I had the pleasure to help convert the technology we were using in projects into our SaaS product ActyxOS, which we launched in August of 2020. Gathering plenty of user feedback, we shortly after released the second milestone of our product, Actyx 2.0, of which I was lucky enough to take leadership.
My experiences in design and technology made me into a visually driven, analytical, and detail-obsessed PM, who has a deep passion for great design, UX, and cutting-edge technology.
In my free time, I enjoy going for a run or a round of golf. I further love spending my time in the Alps, be it on skis or hiking. I also recently completed my first Olympic triathlon.
